Impact ExperieceElizabeth Schwan-Rosenwald is a recognized expert in the nonprofit sector. She has worked across Fortune 500 companies, government, and the social sector to build, lead, and advance the use of service and civic engagement as a resource for communities worldwide.
Known as a partnership-builder and bridge-builder, Elizabeth has experience in partnership development, leadership development, capacity building, and pro bono innovation. Most recently, Elizabeth has served as as the Vice President of Supporter Relations for Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE). Prior to joining LEE, she was the Chief External Relations Officer at the Taproot Foundation overseeing partnerships, marketing and communications. During her 9-year tenure at the Taproot Foundation, Elizabeth launched and implemented initiatives that advanced the landscape of pro bono engagement, including the strategic partnerships inherent to Taproot+ which is an online pro bono matching platform. Elizabeth spoke and led the global Pro Bono Week, an annual celebration of the impact of business pro bono, and the Global Pro Bono Network a international association of pro bono providers. Prior to her tenure at the Taproot Foundation, Elizabeth founded 20% Theatre, an all-women’s theatre company dedicated to addressing gender inequity and power imbalance in the theatre. Today, Elizabeth brings her experience to bear in her consulting work, dedicated to innovation, equity, leadership development and program approach and positioning to enable the achievement of critical social goals. Clients include The Fedcap Group, Benevolent, Team4Tech, West Side Forward, and Authentifiy. Elizabeth's over twenty-year nonprofit fundraising career spans some of Chicago’s most prominent arts and civic organizations. She holds a BA in English and Theater from Smith College and today serves as a lecturer on social impact, the nonprofit sector, and partnership development at the Kellogg School of Management's Center for Nonprofit Management at Northwestern University. |
